About the conductor
Raffi Armenian (born 1942) is a Canadian conductor and pianist known for his leadership in both orchestral performance and music education. He has served as music director of several ensembles, including the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, and has been closely involved with the development of young musicians through his long association with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. Armenian is recognized for his balanced interpretations of classical repertoire and his commitment to training future generations of conductors and instrumentalists.
